What is xpeers.net?
xpeers is the first collaboration software for Linux. The xpeers server and clients are available for all kind of Linux systems. You don't have to make any compromise when using the xpeers system.
Who Needs It?
xpeers is for people who need to work together on a common project or goal. xpeers offers secure, encrypted messaging and sharing of information between groups of 2 or more people -- perfect for companies, non-profit organizations, government institutions, schools, clubs, family, friends, or any group of people who need to work or communicate in a coordinated fashion.
Yes, we support Linux
We think that Linux is best suited for a solution like xpeers. Yes, it's commercial software and this shows that we see Linux matured enough. Using commercial software on Linux systems shows to others in your company that Linux isn't a geek toy. xpeers will help you to propagate the Linux idea through your company.
Your Own Custom Applications
You are able to add your own custom apps written in REBOL, with access to our special xpeers framework. In addition, we'll host a central exchange for users to openly share their custom xpeers applications! We love the open-source idea and you can be sure that we use those ideas to a mutual benefit.
How Does It Work?
On top of a smooth blend of peer-to-peer and client-server technologies, xpeers adds full strength authentication (to keep out unwanted users) and variable levels of encryption (to keep your communication private). Normally, your xpeers system runs on one of your computers rather than a central system (at ISPs or our office). You have full control over the system, who uses it, what gets shared, and how long it stays running.
What Does it Cost?
There are several options you can choose from. Get your own system, setup a dedicated hosting with us, or log into a shared xpeers system.
